  11 Days /10 Nights 

Day 1 -Your exciting vacation to Canada’s Maritime Provinces begins with in the charming seaside town of Bar Harbor, Maine.  You’ll become acquainted with your traveling companions during tonight’s Welcome Dinner.  (Overnight Bar Harbor


Day 2 -This morning we’ll drive through Acadia National Park to the top of Cadillac Mountain for breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Then it’s on to Campobello Island and a visit to FDR’s boyhood summer home where he was stricken with Polio. 
The Loyalist City of St. John
, New Brunswick is our destination for tonight.  A special treat will be attending The Water Street Dinner Theatre where the waiters both serve AND entertain.   (Overnight St. John


Day 3 - Our drive today will take us through the picturesque
Province of New Bruns
wick with a stop at “Magnetic Hill”.  Our journey continues over the 8-mile long Confederation Bridge to Canada’s smallest province, Prince Edward Island, with 30% cultivated earning the nicknamed “Canada’s Million Acre Farm”. PEI is becoming as famous for cultured mussels as for potatoes and Lucy Maud Montgomery’s heroine, Anne Shirley, of Green Gables.  (2-nights PEI)


Day 4 – This morning we tour the island with our local guide stopping at “Anne of Green Gables” followed by buffet lunch that features unlimited lobster. Relax over dessert while we are entertained with traditional Celtic music provided by local musicians and dancers.  The highlight of our time on PEI will be attending a performance of the “Anne of Green Gables Musical” at Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown


Day 5 - This morning we board a ferry for the 75-minute crossing to Nova Scotia and our destination of Cape Breton, the heart of Celtic Nova Scotia.  Included is a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck where you will learn about the life and work of this important inventor.  (2 Nights Cape Breton)


View of HighwayDay 6 - The highlight of our time on Cape Breton is a full day drive along the 184-mile Cabot Trail described as the “Big Sur of the East” for its ribbon of roadway that snakes along the rugged coast


Day 7 - Today we leave behind the grandeur of the Highlands for the Capital City of Halifax.  (2-Nights Halifax)


Day 8 - We begin today with a City Tour by a Local Guide.  Your afternoon will be free to enjoy a leisurely lunch and browse the many shops alo
ng the waterfront or try your luck in Casino Halifax.  In the late afternoon we will depart on a scenic coastal drive to the picturesque village of Peggy’s Cove for a sunset dinner.
 

Day 9 – We cross the Province this morning to Digby and board a ferry that will take us across the Bay of Fundy.  This body of water is known to have the highest tides in the world, a record 53 feet!   Three hours later we’ll arrive in St. John for the short drive to cross the border back to the US. (Overnight Maine)


Day 10 – Today our route will take us through beautiful coastal
areas of Maine to the picturesque town of Camden, home of the famous Windjammer Fleet.  Our journey continues to Kennebunkport to see the summer home of former President Bush on beautiful Walker’s Point.  We have arranged a special Farewell Dinner in one of Maine’s popular nautical restaurants. (Overnight Boston area) 

    

Day 11 – You journey home begins today with warm memories of the beautiful Maritime Provinces and Coastal Maine.
